How will you support us?


This role is working with Glassolutions where you will be responsible for install, restore, repair, improve, maintain plant and equipment in order to achieve optimum performance, while working safely at all times. You will be responsible for the completion of daily and weekly tasks in a timely manner, adopting an analytical approach to problem solving by using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools, to identify the root cause of failures, along with proposing appropriate corrective/sustaining actions.


In the role as a Maintenance Engineer you will;


  • Complete maintenance job cards and Break Down Analysis (BDA) tasks, scheduled or unplanned, while understanding the Key Performance Indicators, and how they impact on plant performance on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Maintain daily records of activities and follow all department procedures and systems.
  • Use your initiative to rectify a problem when it occurs within the required activities or task and assist in the reduction of plant downtime.
  • Be involved in installation of plant and associated services.
  • Assist in the completion of the fault finding to determine the root cause of failures and identify sustaining actions to prevent re-occurrence.

In order to be successful in this role you ideally have some of the following


  • Completed an electrical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship and/or a recognised Electrical qualification and/or equivalent experience in this role.
  • Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience with safety requirements e.g. Isolation and Permit’s to Work.
  • Experience of using and interpreting Engineering data.
  • Bench fitting, basic workshop machining, welding and fabrication as well as sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • The ability to read and fault find from Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic drawings and ideally trained against the Electricity at Work Regulations.
