This role is working with Saint Gobain Glass – they provide high performing and innovative glazing solutions for every living and working place where comfort and safety are required. 

As an Electrical Trades Operator you will be part of a team that is responsible for and keeping production flowing.  The main part of your role will to be to carry out planned/scheduled maintenance checks and reacting to breakdowns of heavy duty equipment including; conveyors, hoppers, mixers and the furnace. 
In addition to your maintenance work you will be involved in other process related duties which will include, quality inspection, glass cutting and operating machinery

Your day to day responsibilities will include;

• Responsible for all aspects of preventative and repair maintenance and minor modifications
• Diagnosis and repair of electrical failures
• Responsible for the Health and Safety of self, others and equipment
• Support the sites Engineering department with major site work and projects

What kind of person are we looking for?

• Apprentice trained engineer with an HNC or HND
• Previous experience of working in production/manufacturing environment
• Heavy engineering exposure would be beneficial
• Electrical fault finding, diagnosing and repair of production machinery
• A good understanding of H&S policies and procedures
• An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be beneficial
• A Pro-active, hands on and problem solving Engineer
