We require a knowledgeable Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join us at our manufacturing facility in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.

This role will see you carrying out routine and proactive maintenance activity to ensure optimum equipment effectiveness. We require someone with a strong problem solving ability, with proven experience in maintaining a wide variety of electrical and electro-mechanical plant equipment.

At Weber we work a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6AM-2PM and 2PM-10PM Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday if you work the late shift!

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Install and or maintain all electrical & electro-mechanical plant or machinery in line with Company requirements.
  • Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to ensure that the plant & machinery is in good working order
  •  Fault find and repair any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems on the plant or equipment
  • Use various types of testing equipment in order to locate and remedy faults in the shortest possible time.
  • Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition.
  • Maintain and monitor the machines and equipment to enable them to achieve their budgeted outputs at the required quality levels
  • Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency.
  • Follow all Standard Operating procedures (SOP’S) and help review when required.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Qualified from a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering
  • Sound knowledge & experience of fault finding and repairs
  • Good working knowledge of EHS systems
  • Basic PLC fault finding knowledge
  • 17th or 18th Edition qualified
  • Ability to read and understand schematic electrical drawings
  • Team player with a good degree of self-management
