What impact will you have in this role?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and knowledgeable improvement team as our Data Analytics Graduate. This exciting role will see you working on Industry 4.0 projects utilising your experience and skills to design, construct, test and maintain data management and historian systems.

Robertsbridge is a pilot site for Industry 4.0 initiatives and you will be a key member of the team that delivers projects for the whole group to learn from.

• Ensure Safety is at the forefront of everything you do and proactively contribute to strengthen our Safety culture.
• Employ a variety of languages and tools / scripting languages to link data architectures and systems.
• Develop data set processes for data modelling, mining and production as well as research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for exploiting data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, performance & IT teams on data projects from inception through to industrialisation.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements & industry best practices.

What kind of person are we looking for? 

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. In addition to the five Saint-Gobain attitudes we shared at the start, suitability for the role is always key; does the following criteria sound like you? 

• Degree in computer science, software/computer engineering, applied math, physics, statistics or a related field.
• Master’s degree in computer engineering or computer science would be an advantage
• Industrial applications experience would be desirable
• Statistical analysis and modelling skills
• Relational Database Management Systems & SQL-based technologies skills
• Knowledge of Python, C/C++ Java, Perl, data warehousing/data mining
