Who are we ?

This is an exciting opportunity for an operative with practical construction skills to join our passionate and knowledgeable Technical Department as the Assistant Evaluator. This exciting role will see you assist the Local Evaluator with general housekeeping, preparation of specimens and maintenance of a safe and high quality plaster evaluation area whilst supporting with supervised evaluation of existing products, utilising housekeeping, organisation and continuous improvement skills.

The Assistant Evaluator will work as part of the Local Powders Team, contributing to the development of new plaster and jointing products for the construction industry, as well as safeguarding the quality of our current products.

What will you be doing in the role?

In the role as Assistant Evaluator you will;

  • Comply with actions of the annual safety plan and support departmental safety initiatives, with a particular focus on health & safety within the evaluation area.
  • Prepare substrates / areas / builds for specimen tests efficiently and on time to allow subsequent evaluations to be completed to schedule.
  • Consider all aspects of tasks and the working environment for ways to continually improve.
  • Provide support to the Local Powders Team and Technical Department to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Test existing products to the required standard under the supervision of the Local Evaluator.

For the Assistant Evaluator specifically it is important that you have:

  • Practical skills capability – able to use standard construction based tools.
  • Recognised qualification in construction skills and/or plastering skills would be desirable.
  • Minimal to no building site experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and are able to drive.
  • Residence rights in the UK.
