How you will utilise your expertise?

This role is working with Celotex at our manufacturing and distribution facility based in Eggborough, we are the UK’s brand leader in PIR thermal insulation solutions for building and construction industry. Celotex strives through innovation to continually improve product performance and remain at the forefront of industry progress.

We require a committed warehouse operative who can perform all warehouse related duties in a safe, accurate and correct manner and in accordance with procedures and work instructions or by instructions given. We have a large group of people within the site who have grown in to supervisory positions within the business this could be the start of an exciting career for you.

This role is working on a weekly shift rotation of 7AM-3PM or 2PM-10PM Monday – Friday.

  • Accurately, carefully, and safely extract all products from stock in accordance with the delivery notes and safely load onto the appropriate vehicle/trailer with maximum utilisation of space, recording all required load details.
  • Perform daily forklift truck checks, reporting any defects. Keep FLTs clean, tidy, and properly charged or fuelled.
  • Operate the FLT and all loading operations safely at all times, adhering to all safety signs and Celotex site safety procedures. Respect that no job is so important it is worth getting hurt for.
  • Unload vehicles/trailers of returns, pallets, stock, or raw materials using an appropriate unloading method, after checking paperwork is correct. If unloading returned and/or damaged product, report any damage immediately and add a suitable note to the paperwork.  Such products are to be moved to the designated location / department.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times, utilising 5S system. Ensure all housekeeping duties are complete and that all areas are kept clean and tidy.


What kind of person are we looking for?

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. In addition to the five Saint-Gobain attitudes we shared at the start, suitability for the role is always key; does the following criteria sound like you?

  • A sound working knowledge of warehousing or materials handling.
  • Must be a fully certified forklift driver with previous FLT working experience, preferably in a high volume warehouse.
  • Be numerate and literate with a high attention to detail, basic computer skills, and able to communicate effectively.
  • To demonstrate an awareness of safety requirements, especially hazards, in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to judge distances and heights and work in varying seasonal temperatures.
  • Able to bend, kneel, and stoop from time to time, lift and move objects up to 20kg in weight, and have the endurance to sit and drive a forklift for long periods.
