The hours of work are 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 2.30pm on Fridays.

 

What impact will you have in this role?

 

This role is working with Isover where you will be responsible to safely carry out both preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns in order to achieve a high level of production plant availability, whilst ensuring safe working and utilising World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools and techniques at all times.

 

In the role as an Maintenance Electrician you will;

 

  • Electrical maintenance of all plant equipment and services to the highest possible standard allowing the Company to safely achieve quality and performance targets, by preventative maintenance techniques and minimising breakdown downtime.
  • Able to work from wiring diagrams and use a range of tools to calibrate, inspect and test installations and machinery to make sure they are working correctly and safely, and according to schedule.
  • Accurate reporting of work carried out in logbooks including timelines, spares used, and to sign off work and hand back to production without delay.
  • Deliver and support a culture of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) excellence through achievement of EHS objectives and targets. Support a high level of safety awareness and employee safety accountability throughout the whole team to achieve zero lost accidents or medical treatment case.
  • Be a part of the on-call rota for out of hours support to the shift teams

In order to be successful in this role, you must have;

 

  • Full qualified apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 (Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience of working on industrial machinery (particularly Rockwell drives, PLC’s and operator interfaces).
  • Experience of Electrical controls associated with process plant (e.g.:  AC and DC drives, PLCs, relay logic, inverters, PID loops, industrial distribution systems, switchgear, lighting systems etc).
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance for electrical equipment.
  • Understanding of pneumatics, steam raising plant, combustion systems and material handling equipment would be desirable to have for this role.
  • IEE Wiring Regulations - 17th edition is desirable to have.
