This exciting role will see you organise staff and equipment in order to achieve the weekly production plan, utilising previous experience of leading aspects of safety culture within a large organisation/operation.

In the role as an Production & Engineering Manager you will;

  • Ensure safe working and consideration of environmental impact.
  • Maintain employee engagement through communication and team building.
  • Be responsible for output and quality of finished product.
  • Have responsibility for engineering and facilities maintenance including planned preventive maintenance.
  • Supervise and develop the team.
  • Actively manage continuous improvement projects including cap ex spend.
  • Control labour and overhead spend to budget.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience of managing Engineering/Facilities functions.
  • Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or with equivalent experience for the role.
  • Experience of handling a variety of people issues with a good understanding of HR protocols.
  • Proven track record of managing a team in a fast paced production.
  • Experience of driving continuous improvement.
  • Achieved or is working towards IOSH Working Safely qualification.

  • Proven track record of managing a team in a fast paced production.
  • A reasonable understanding of how all the business functions interact.
  • Experience of driving continuous improvement.
  • Personal attributes will include drive, determination, energy and enthusiasm with the ability to motivate others.
  • Demonstrable IT skills are necessary, including Excel, Word and Email in particular.
  • A good standard of education.
  • Achieved or is working towards IOSH Working Safely qualification.
