How will you support us?

 

This role is working with Glassolutions where you will be responsible for installing best in class standards national supply chain operations. You will encompass the management of the Downstream Glass logistics fleet as well as the sourcing and stocking of the full range of glass that Glassolutions supplies to its customers.

 

In the role as a Supply Chain Manager you will;

 

  • Manage suppliers for all glass products, stock and manufactured, ensuring continuity of supply, service levels and market requirements (cost, quality, speed).

  • Oversee the logistics team for the UK responsible for raw material planning, inventory management, inter-company transport, customer deliveries, third party logistics and transport compliance.

  • Work closely with the operations and purchasing team to minimise costs and ensure customer service level requirements are met.

  • Identify and implement a multisite and scheduling and routing software to ensure the above.        

  • Work closely with the commercial and marketing teams to ensure efficient and effective new product introduction and gain competitive advantage by differentiating on service.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have;

 

  • Degree in an Engineering, Scientific or Supply Chain Discipline or equivalent experience in the role

  • Operational and/or Commercial management experience.

  • Be able to understand and communicate verbal, written information and be numerically adept.

  • People management experience as will be managing others.

  • EHS qualification desirable but not essential (IOSH).
