You’ll be working for Glassolutions in Elland. Glassolutions is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the largest processor and distributor of Glass in the UK.  We offer a range of services unrivalled across the glass industry, supplying and processing glass for a broad range of applications.

What will I be doing in the role?

Our Transport Planners are really important to our success and a critical part of our customer’s positive experience with us.  You will be the person that if responsible for producing effective delivery schedules in order to maximise vehicle utilisation whilst proactively working with the customer experience team to provide excellent customer service. To support our customers effectively you will;

  • Plan and organise the delivery of glass to customers
  • Produce loading and delivery schedules to ensure effective delivery and collection of glass
  • Organise the vehicle fleet maintenance and inspection requirements
  • Manage driver sickness and holidays ensuring adequate cover
  • Work with the customer experience team to ensure customers are kept up to date with delivery times
