How will I utilise my expertise?

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to support the smooth running of warehouse and logistics activities on a day-to-day basis. You’ll take personal responsibility that day-to-day warehouse operations are done safely and support the operational KPIs.

As a Warehouse Operative with Weber, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Executing order picking requirements defined by the logistics planner to load/unload vehicles efficiently and without errors.
  • Confirming all picking notes when completed, ensuring all paperwork is correctly issued and returns are re-entered onto the system.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and the company’s safe operating procedures, particularly in relation to the safe operation of fork-trucks and wearing of personal protective clothing.
  • Ensuring that only acceptable quality products are picked and loaded and support your colleagues in achieving quality targets.
  • Promoting safe working practices across the business so as to cause no harm in the workplace and keep everyone safe.

What kind of person are you looking for?

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; we innovate, we’re Agile, we’re Open & Engaging, we care about and know our customers, and we all try to act as entrepreneurs. As part of the Saint-Gobain group, we’re also committed to empowering and developing our own people wherever possible. So whilst the following requirements are key, we’d also be keen to speak to individuals who are self-motivated and have previous warehouse experience:

  • Current FLT license is required (counterbalance and narrow aisle trucks).
  • Experienced using FLT to load/offload lorries.
  • SAP Knowledge, especially SAP WM.
  • English and Mathematical skills, both written and verbal, in order to be able to execute day-to-day duties without assistance.
  • Good communication skills.

The world of work is changing, and at Saint-Gobain we are open to new ways of working in order to attract talented people to our business. We understand that everyone has different needs and commitments. Therefore, we are very open to discuss any flexible requirement or need that you may have for this role. We can’t guarantee to meet all requests for flexibility when we are recruiting. But, we promise to listen.
