This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our passionate and knowledgeable operations department as a Warehouse Operative. This exciting role will see you lead and motivate the team on shift to achieve operational tasks and targets in a safe, timely and cost effective manner utilising previous experience of leading aspects of safety culture within a large organisation/operation.

This is a weekly rotating shift pattern 06:00am to 14:00pm and 14:00pm to 20:00pm.

How will you support us?

As Warehouse Operative you will be helping the team provide the highest levels of service. You’ll be enhancing the customer journey and ensure orders are picked correctly; vehicles are loaded and unloaded efficiently, all within the appropriate timescales. Working within service delivery targets and KPIs, you’ll be providing first class service and managing relationships with a range of internal customers.

In the role as Warehouse Operative you will;

• Executing the order picking requirements defined by the logistics planner and loads/unloads vehicles as required.
• Attend to any spillages immediately and ensure adequate materials are available at all times to deal with such spillages.
• Book all picking notes onto SAP when complete, ensure all paperwork is correctly issued and returns are re-entered onto the system.
• Carry out risk assessments and the company’s safe operating procedures particularly in relation to the safe operation of fork-trucks and the wearing of personal protective clothing.
• Seek to make continuous improvement to warehouse operations and support the implementation of new ideas.

For the Warehouse Operative specifically it is important that you have:

• Comprehensive warehouse operations experience.
• Current FLT license and be an experienced user of FLTs to load/ offload vehicles.
• SAP Knowledge.
• English and Mathematical skills, both written and verbal, in order to be able to execute day-to-day duties without assistance.
• Good communication skills and be motivated with a willingness to accept new challenges and a change of culture.
• Be highly flexible to meet the demands of the business when required.
• Personal attributes that include drive, determination, energy and enthusiasm with the ability to motivate others.
• Demonstrable IT skills are necessary, including Excel, Word and Email in particular. SAP advantageous.
