Here at Saint-Gobain, our Supply Chain Hubs are the operational backbone of our business, ensuring both our branches and customers have what they need, when they need it. For our Grangemouth Hub, that means servicing the UK’s largest House Builders in Scotland. It’s no small feat, but one that’s essential to our success and the exceptional customer service we provide across our many brands.

What impact will I have in this role?

As Logistics Coordinator, you’ll support the distribution of customer orders, deliveries and branch replenishment in the region, maximising the operational and logistical performance of the fleet. Building and maintaining successful relationships is therefore essential, as you’ll need to liaise with customers, colleagues and supplies to ensure we consistently improve our logistical efficiency and provide an excellent customer service.

Your key day to day duties as Logistics Coordinator will include:

  • Planning and scheduling customer delivers for optimised routing efficiency, liaising with Operational colleagues and local branch network as necessary.
  • Supporting the logistics process through managing and delegating order tickets to relevant drivers, fulfilling compliance at all times.
  • Maximising logistics efficiency to ultimately drive down logistics cost to serve through activity optimisation.
  • Demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Prior delivery planning experience of construction materials or similar.
  • IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel).
  • Good Geographical knowledge of Scotland – desirable.
