DC Contracts Manager

Temporary role-40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join Saint-Gobain Building Distribution. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and well established team and play a pivotal role in providing a first class service.

The role of the DC Contracts Manager will be to manage the day to day positive relationship onsite with Staples and the connectivity of the SGBD brands to the DC.

The role consists of holding the DC teams to account whilst maintaining strong relationships and influencing the decisions of the SGBD brands.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required

Essential

  • Strong and demonstrable experience in area of responsibility
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of customer/financial performance, risk management and understanding of financial statements
  • Highly IT literate in systems relevant to role i.e. MS office
  • Proven and demonstrable ability to understand customer and business requirements
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Good numerical and analytical skills with ability assimilate information
  • People management experience with demonstrable ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
  • Demonstrable delivery of commercial successes and good business acumen               
  • Able to support the need for and lead change within area of responsibility
  • Self-motivated and results driven with the ability to manage a team and relevant stakeholders to deliver results
  • Able to demonstrate excellent relationship management and networking skills
  • Driving Licence (travel and overnight stays are required)
  • Process Mapping and Cost Model Management is essential

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Supply Chain experience (Desireable)
  • Project Management qualification
  • Proficient in excel and other Microsoft products
  • Proven experience managing a 3PL relationship
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail
