This role is working with Ham Baker Pipelines, a long established, market-leading organisation dedicated to the design and manufacture of innovative products for the water and waste water markets.

What impact will you have in this role?

The primary purpose of the role is to deliver and exceed sales targets. You will work closely with a small team to build and develop existing accounts, and help support the external sales team as they acquire new opportunities. Day to day, this will involve;

  • Working with a range of clients, from lead or junior buyers to retail branches.
  • Quoting prices, negotiating with suppliers, placing orders, and liaising with the dispatch teams.
  • Continuing to build your product and business area knowledge, and sharing this with the wider team.
  • Being actively involved in the team and contributing to discussions around strategy and business opportunities.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • A strong proven background in account management. This could come from a range of industries, however a knowledge or understanding of the construction sector would be beneficial.
  • A desire to build strong meaningful relationships both internally and externally.
  • High level of attention to detail, and comfortable working with numbers – both in a financial sense and with product specifications.
  • Driven to increase sales through offering excellent service, and continually building your product and industry knowledge.
