You will get a company car as the role involves travel however this role is predominantly being based at home.

Saint-Gobain Insulation UK is the bringing together of two very established insulation brands; Celotex and Saint-Gobain Isover. The project specification role is a field based sales role so you will receive all the tools you will need to be successful in that position, including a company car. The vacancy is for the East of England excluding central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the specification of both product lines into architects and large main contractors, focussing mainly on commercial project activity. You will be expected to use existing skills and experience to drive the Saint-Gobain Insulation UK project pipeline and provide valuable leads for the commercial sales team.

In the role as a Project Specification Manager you will;

  • Drive the technical aspects of the sales value proposition
  • Create collaborative and proactive relationships with a non-transactional customer base
  • Use the multi material product range as a differentiator into our customer base
  • Closely work with Area Sales Managers to ensure complete project awareness and success
  • Work to support other sales colleagues with regard to technical expertise when needed

In order to be successful, you must have;

  • Experience of architectural specification and/ or experience of selling on a technical level
  • Experience of delivering presentations to a technical audience
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment and being able to influence non-transactional customers
  • An understanding of how construction projects work
  • An understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work (not essential)
  • An understanding of the National Building Specification (NBS) process (not essential)
