This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and knowledgeable Sales Engineer team responsible for Saint-Gobain Industrial Ceramics on a permanent basis working from home but with a lot of travelling within the local region required. This exciting role is to satisfy customer demand for SGIC for all European sites, products and services, achieve HPR’s strategy in relation to maximising profit by selling solutions, levering technical superiority & securing sales for products and services within Waste to Energy, Ceramics, and Wear Resistant Technologies & Foundry.

  • Technical background with refractories experience ideally in ceramics.
  • Construct & deliver profitable annual budget and other KPIs in each market sector.
  • Develop new business / sales from the existing & new customers.
  • Value creation mindset and positive ‘Can Do’ attitude
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity both Organizational and Supply Chain related
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Full driving license

As a SAles Engineer:

  • You will have previous experience in previous Key / Large account management with technical products and processed.
  • Be responsible for understanding markets and practical knowledge of installation techniques.
  • You will have strong communication, relationship building and presentation skills with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to senior director level.
  • Manage time in an efficient manner scheduling own meetings and travel plans as well as appointments with both internal and external customers.
  • Daily running of business in all areas.
  • Communicate all knowledge gained clearly about customers and competitors through the LVO hub, monthly reporting systems.
  • Provide clear price and margin management in accounts:
    • Follow guidelines regarding price and discount / rebate terms for all accounts and major projects.
    • Undertake and negotiate price increases as per company policy by market.
    • Maximise profitability by selling solutions.
