You’ll be working for International Timber in Manchester. International Timber is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK. International Timber are the largest supplier and distributor of sustainable timber and panel products in the UK.  We specialise in the import, processing and distribution of Softwoods, Hardwoods, Clear softwoods, Engineered timber, Panel products and Cladding & Decking.  Our products are sourced from around the world to offer our customers throughout the UK excellent choice, value, availability and service. The company is part of the Saint-Gobain group of companies. Is this role right for me?

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience
  • GCSE Math’s and English grade A-C or equivalent
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative, be self-motivating and able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent PC skills and good attention to detail
  • Product knowledge within the business sector
  • Prepared to be mobile to meet training requirements

What will I be doing in the role?

The role of the Internal Sales Consultant is to work as an effective member of the sales team to achieve their own sales targets and support overall company business objectives. In this role you will;

  • Achieve sales and margin targets
  • Support the achievement of the internal and external sales and margin targets
  • Accurate and timely completion of customer requests
  • Maintaining accurate and current information in the brand’s CRM system
  • Effective communication with customer base
  • Support manager to achieve team objectives, such as sales campaigns
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
