JP Corry is the leading Builders Merchants in Northern Ireland, renowned for providing excellent value and quality service in the supply of building materials and timber based products.

Our JP Corry Derrylin team are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Trade Counter Salesperson who prides themselves on delivering first class service and who can really make difference. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for contributing and exceeding customer expectations whilst supporting achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling products.

As a Trade Counter Salesperson with JP Corry, you will:

  • Identify and generate selling opportunities for the full range of JP Corry products.
  • Provide realistic quotations to satisfy customer needs.
  • Negotiate the best possible deals which satisfy both our customers’ and company requirements.
  • Maintain up to date customer records and use them as an effective selling tool.
  • Exchange information to maximise selling opportunities, solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ensure customers credit worthiness is established and properly controlled in line with agreed terms.
  • Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary.

  • Have proven experience in a sales based role.
  • Have fantastic Customer Service Experience and know what great service looks like, sounds like and feels like. That’s really important to us.
  • Are proficient in the use of IT and have good computer literacy skills.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to be a real team player.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of the construction / building materials industry (desirable, but not essential as training will be given).
