Sales and Customer Service Assistant - Woodford Green

You'll be working for International Decorative Surfaces in Woodford Green branch. International Decorative Surfaces are the UK's largest distributor of decorative surfaces specialising in flooring, worktops, laminates, compact, panel products, solid surface and wall panelling. With an annual turnover of more than £120 million we take the business of fulfilling our customers' needs very seriously. We make more than 2,000 daily deliveries using our fleet of over 100 vehicles achieving a 99% on-time, in-full, service record.

In this role your main responsibilities will be to deal with customer enquiries and orders in an effective and proficient manner. To be proactive in seeking new business and at all times complying with company business controls and health and safety policies.

What will I be doing in the role?
• Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and on time, in full.
• Ensure that customers in showroom are dealt with politely.
• All cash handling must be dealt with in line with company policy.
• Achieve sales and margin targets of the branch.
• Target new customers.
• Follow up all enquiries.
• Ensure that all held orders are chased and customers contacted for payments.
• Order back to back stock in line with company policies.
• Help out with stock take.
• Minimise stock transfers between branch and CDC by following 4x procedures.
• Complete all sales reports as required, ie footfalls, lost orders etc…
• Ensuring all compliance of business controls.
• Compliance to all health and safety legislation.
• Any other reasonable duty as defined by the company.
