National Account Manager - Saint-Gobain

What is the purpose of this role?

This role is working directly for the SG Sales Director and in partnership with the SG UK&I brands & business units, with the aim of maximizing profit and performance for SG across identified national customers and their regional business units within a designated location. Seeking and driving business growth from existing opportunities whilst identifying new SG opportunities through strong internal and external key stakeholder relationships.

 

What skills/Experience are we looking for?

Experience within the building and construction industry preferable

Ability to develop strong customer relationships at all levels to drive business performance

A strong team player, able to build effective relationships across multiple sectors and business units

Skilled in asking the right questions at the right time to identify business opportunities

Lead, manage & facilitate to ensure opportunities are mobilised and the strategy is delivered

Project management skills, understanding of scheduling, scope and delivery on customer

Excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills

The ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines is essential, as is prioritising and managing conflicting demands and time management

Excellent understanding of market dynamics

 

What are the day to day duties in the role?

Work as an integral part of the team to deliver the strategic plans across the business

Responsible for strong relationships with our customers, understand their businesses and their requirements to ensure long-term partnership relationships

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and teams across the SG business units to drive internal relationships and the business strategy

Lead and drive our value added proposition, maximizing profitable business growth, ensuring sales and profit targets are reached and exceeded

Lead an SG solution led approach, ability to think outside the box, identify and drive new business opportunities

Identify new sectors, customers, opportunities and solutions for continued business growth

Ensure own knowledge of market trends, competitor activity and supplier performance is up to date at all times
