We are recruiting for a Customer Development Manager to join Jewson in the Taunton area (Highbridge, Taunton or Bideford site). We operate with branch based with some flexibility and share knowledge openly and have a very collaborative spirit!

This purpose of the role will be to assist in the onboarding and development of new accounts: supporting the external team with conversion of live quotes and Build aviator pipelines. You will also act as a liaison between our external sales staff, our customers, and the internal operations to provide exceptional customer service.

To be considered for Customer Development Manager, you need the following experience:

  • Experience of working in a telephone or face to face sales environment.
  • Working as part of the team to deliver end results.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to influence and manage across a matrix organisation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage simultaneous priorities.
  • A desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Project management/coordination skills (entry level desirable).

The role of Customer Development Manager will involve:

  • Pro-actively phone targeted customers to improve the share of wallet.
  • On-board all new accounts within the Business Unit.
  • Work with customers and the external sales team to agree and set terms.
  • Support the external sales team with preparation and conversion of all quotations.
  • Help manage and convert the Business Unit sales pipeline with a keen focus on Build Aviator.
