This brand new and exciting position of Fire Protection Sector Sales Director is working for Minster – part of the Saint-Gobain Group.  Minster is the fastest growing national specialist insulation and dry lining distributor in the UK, with 25 branches providing dedicated expertise and quality solutions.

It’s exciting times for Minster – we are introducing a new Fire Protection Product range into the Minster brand. It will be the role of the Sector Sales Director to identify sales potential and specialist market segments to achieve business growth.

Key responsibilities of the Sector Sales Director

  • To work with the Head of Range Development to review the market opportunities, define range and launch into the branch network
  • To develop the sales strategy to deliver profitable growth within the Fire Protection sector and become a credible supplier in the marketplace
  • To ensure that Minster is the fastest and most effective distributor at introducing new product to its chosen markets
  • To form a strategic close working relationship with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement team to develop and support the delivery of fire protection range into the business
  • Work proactively with the commercial team to develop a strong customer base, and

with the Regional Sales Manager to define and implement regional sales plans for Fire Protection

  • Build close working relationships with the branch network to ensure a successful launch of the new product range
  • To develop training plans for colleagues to support the product roll out into the branch network
  • Managerial responsibilities for a small team of Sector Sales Managers (TBC?)

This is a key role that will help Minster achieve its growth plans. To be considered for the role we are looking for the following skills and experience

 

  • Specialist Knowledge of the Fire Protection sector including customer and supplier relationships, manufacturers, technical and commercial.
  • 5 years + experience of managing field sales teams including coaching, development and aiding in the achievement of team sales budgets
  • Customer relationship management
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Energetic, proactive, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Able and willing to travel as required
  • Ability to network and influence
