The Role: Sales Executive

Location: 177 Strand Road, Londonderry, BT48 7PU

 

About this role:

 

The role of a Sales Executive is integral to the smooth running of sales and operations within the Derry branch. The role reports to the Branch Manager and is key to driving sales within the branch. The position will liaise with all members of the branch including; Trade Counter, Yard Operations, Sales Representatives and Drivers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Experience:

 

  • Product Knowledge – either through working within the construction industry, sales or from a Builders Merchant.
  • Strong I.T. Skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Natural passion for delivering outstanding experience for our customers.
  • Confident working under pressure through diary and workload management.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet ever changing requirements.
  • Natural problem solver.

 

Desirable Experience:

 

  • A proven track record of sales / business development with a good understanding of product knowledge and the routes to market.
  • Prior experience of using a CRM system

Additional Requirements

  • Manage the sales process for new and existing customers.
  • Support the external sales team with customer requests e.g. technical information, updated quotes or required product certification.
  • Place direct sales orders, organise delivery times, and notify customers.
  • Follow up on general phone enquiries, supporting the branch in all aspects of customer service.
  • Ensure minimum stock shrinkage and accurate daily stock counts.
  • Complete transport audits and dispatch documentation as necessary, passing to the Branch Manager for regular sign off.
  • Build sales opportunities within the local business.
  • Any other duties deemed reasonable
