This Business Development Manager role is working across a cluster of approximately 8 - 10 branches based within our N4 Sales (Rotherham area) Business Unit. A typical Jewson Business Unit has around 80-120 colleagues, including sales and operational teams, supporting circa 2000 live customer accounts from multiple branch locations.

What will I be doing in this role?

The Business Development Manager position is crucial to the continual performance of the Business Unit. You will assist the Business Unit in the management, growth and acquisition of Key Accounts.

Key day to day duties include:

  • Find and develop key new business via lead sourcing, lead follow ups, and general customer interaction
  • Develop long-lasting trust relationships with a portfolio of key customers to maintain and improve profitability
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer’s needs
  • Work with all functions and branch teams to ensure that all sizable business opportunities are leveraged

  • A proven track record in acquiring and servicing external sales and business opportunities
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding coupled with a professional and intelligent approach to capitalise on potential profitable business
  • A full driving licence as the role comes with a car and will require you to travel around the Business Unit
