Business Development Manager – Neville Lumb

Competitive Salary – Based in Stockport, Greater Manchester

Neville Lumb is a specialist brand within Saint-Gobain and is a leading supplier of bathroom and washroom solutions to the commercial, domestic and luxury markets. Due to our continued successful growth strategy, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a professionally motivated and enthusiastic individual to be part of our external sales force managing a portfolio of customers.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to be based out of our new Neville Lumb site at Stockport. The role includes generating project leads with both new and existing customers and following up quotations supplied via the Estimating team. It will be your responsibility to manage a number of existing accounts to make sure maximum sales are achieved, along with the identification and generation of new enquiries from non-spending, new and prospect customers.

Key Results Areas will include:

  • Regional sales growth.
  • Increasing new accounts.
  • Reduction of non-spending and lapsed accounts.
  • Meeting targets and KPI’s set by the business.
  • Troubleshooting with customers when problems occur.

For the Business Development Manager role specifically, we’re looking for an individual who is resilient and self-motivated. You will however also be supported by the line management structure. Utilisation of Outlook Calendar with appointment setting, as well as updating the CRM System to track projects will be a daily requirement. A proven track record working with national and regional contractors is also preferable. Prior experience within the bathroom industry would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Driving License - (essential owing to travel requirements).
  • Experience dealing with Contractors and Sub Contractors.
  • Commercially minded.
  • Results Driven.
  • Customer focused.
  • Organised and pro-active.
  • Good communication skills .
  • Computer literate.
  • Industry knowledge.
  • Branch Management (an advantage).

The ideal candidate will be someone with experience as an account manager/external sales role with a proven track record in delivering results, who also has the potential to become a branch sales manager.
