We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our Public Sector team and support the business in growing our National customer baseThe Business Development Executive role forms part of our Customer Support Team based in Binley, Coventry and will be instrumental in growing our customer portfolio and developing the best ways to engage with both current and potential partners. 

Operating alongside our Account Management team, this person will identify key targets and deliver our engagement strategy, maintain the quality flow of information through our CRM systems and help connect our customer base to our business. Furthermore, by working collaboratively across the business to support the delivery of the customer development strategy, you'll deliver an exceptional customer experience through all means of communication by understanding the importance of getting our service offer right first time.

This role will ideally suit somebody who is at the early stages of their sales or business development career, looking to build some experience within an exciting market place and for an employer that looks to retain and grow talented employees.

For the Business Development Executive position, the following skills/experience would be desirable:

  • Business development or customer engagement experience is preferred, ideally gained within a builders merchant, retail or multi-site distributor/telemarketing environment, with a proven ability to exceed personal targets.
  • Experience in developing case studies and preparing communication documents would be an advantage.
  • A professional and positive telephone manner - essential.
  • Must have proven planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • An understanding of how CRM systems operate would be useful, but not essential
  • Previous experience of working with any aspects of telemarketing sales, e-business, e-procurement is preferred
