Customer Service Advisor (Internal Sales) – Jewson Builders’ Merchants Maldon, Essex

Our ambitious Jewson Maldon team are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Advisor, who prides themselves on delivering first class service and who can inject some real energy into this exciting role. You will be responsible for supporting the achievement of internal sales and profit targets, upselling and cross-selling products whilst contributing to and exceeding customer expectations.

As a Customer Service Advisor with Jewson, you will:

  • Build successful relationships with customers, both face to face and via the telephone, to help drive sales growth for your branch.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times by placing direct sales orders, organising delivery times and notifying customers accordingly.
  • Carry out cash transactions, refunds and till processes accurately and in accordance with branch procedures.
  • Support the branch in all aspects of customer service.

So if you…

  • Have fantastic customer service experience and know what great service looks, sounds and feels like.
  • Ideally, have proven sales experience within a merchant background or other relevant sector.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of the construction / building materials industry (desirable, but not essential as training will be given).
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ultimately, have the right attitudes - positive, personable and a real team player, with a keen interest to develop yourself and the services our business can offer.
