Regional Sales Negotiator – Jewson Builders Merchants - Manchester

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Regional Sales Negotiator to provide national and regional account customers with a high level of service and act as a single point of contact to meet their requirements, whilst negotiating profitable sales with named customers and associated contracts. Reporting in to the Regional Sales Centre Manager, the successful candidate will also support the Sales Centres defined Government locations to ensure all branch related enquiries relating to relevant accounts are handled efficiently.

As a Regional Sales Negotiator with Jewson, you will:

  • Ensure enquiries from named customers are handled efficiently and that branch and customers’ expectations are being met at all times.
  • Achieve sales targets in line with productivity measurements and identify strategies to increase sales and profit of the customer base.
  • Build strong working relationships with the branch network and relevant market mangers to ensure contract support is maintained and to continuously develop sales opportunities.
  • Deliver weekly reports on performance of sales and profit to the Sales Centre Manager.
  • Target existing and prospective customers proactively and ensure any quotations and negotiations with customers are followed up to secure orders.
  • Ensure knowledge of market trends, competitor activity and supplier performance, is up to date at all times.
  • Liaise with credit control on resolving any credit queries on all allocated accounts.

  • Have proven experience of working within a sales environment (with contract sales being an advantage).
  • Can demonstrate commercial awareness and a high level of product knowledge.
  • Have previous experience of dealing with direct to site business and are able to manage customer relationships proactively and efficiently.
  • Display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Are competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel.
  • Possess the ability to work as part of an ambitious team whilst also using your own initiative as required.
  • Have a full UK driving license (desirable).
