How will you support us?

This role is working with British Gypsum where you will be responsible for both desk and field based contact with our customers in the Merchant side of the business across the given region. You will get involved with identifying and qualifying opportunities through business conversations, generating leads and improving sales over the phone and in person. This role will require occasional travel to customer sites, therefore a full UK driving licence is required.


In the role as a Regional Account Manager you will;

  • Build customer relationships via the phone at our East Leake site from proactive selling, sales leads, technical advice and order management
  • Ensure the end to end order placement has been fulfilled for your given accounts
  • Deal with and manage your customer accounts queries and complaints
  • Set up and run trade days with your accounts
  • Meet with your accounts to work on strategies and plans for sales
  • Take a proactive approach to building relationship sand engaging with customers

In order to be successful in this role, you must have;

  • Some experience within a customer service and sales based role
  • The confidence to build relationships via the phone as well as face to face
  • The ability to keep motivated and organised
  • The resilience and tenacity to keep moving forward and be results focused
  • Excellent team working skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A competent level with using Microsoft Office packages
