How will you support us?


This role is working with British Gypsum where you will be responsible for managing commercial project activity with key specifiers through technical specification to achieve Company objectives.


In the role as a Project Specification Manager you will;


  • Implement a sales strategy into technical sales activity to create clear articulation of the technical value proposition to engage and motivate the customer to convert opportunities into profitable product and system sales.

  • Ensure that British Gypsum's technical capability is articulated and leveraged with the correct customers and on the correct projects in a manner to support brand values and reputation to achieve Company targets.

  • Create collaborative and proactive relationships internally with other channels/departments and group companies where appropriate so that activities are aligned to minimise duplication, utilise expertise to maximise efficiency.

  • Manage the projects from early stages and get engagement from the client at this stage. Talk through regulatory requirements and tailoring the requirements using British Gypsum CRM systems.

  • Deliver CPD presentations as and when required to architects, contractors, designers etc.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have;


  • Experience of the construction supply chain and proven engagement demonstrated with architects, contractors, designers, distributors etc.

  • Significant technical experience within the construction industry and the construction market.

  • Experience of influencing customers.

  • Commercial awareness and knowledge.

  • Presentation skills.
