Sales Executive


Are you someone who is passionate about Sales, demonstrating your commercial acumen and building relationships with your customers?

At International Timber we are looking for a Sales Executive to work out of our East Midlands region helping to manage and develop customer accounts through the creation and maintenance of strong customer relationships, ensuring high standards of service and application of product and market knowledge, to meet the annual sales target.

This Sales Executive will be a part of a driven and sales focused team which covers the East Midlands and surrounding areas and will be an effective member of a national sales team of 5 Sales Executives covering the whole UK with the aim to achieve the overall sales targets and commercial success. The Sales Executives share market intel and report into the Regional Sales Director.

What we’re looking for:

 Experience of working within timber building merchants, is key but we will consider Sales Professionals from other sectors within building materials sales.

  • Strong specification, quotation, pricing skills combined with commercial business acumen
  • Strong diary management, appointment making and area management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to gather and share market intel with internal sales teams
  • Ability to grow and develop lapsed / dormant accounts

What you will be doing:

  • Building and developing our commercial performance of our products and identify tactical areas of growth.
  • Managing core customers, new customers and sales opportunities across the East Midlands
  • Analyzing customer spend, working with the internal sales to gather intel, following leads,
  • Managing your own diary, booking client visits, through the effective management and development of a portfolio of customers.
  • Being visible is key, 4 days a week on the road and 1 day in your local branch
