Position description

The Area Sales Manager will be working for Saint Gobain Weber covering the South East of England, predominately areas such as South London, Kent, Surrey, Brighton, Guildford, Bromley and Kingston Upon Thames. Saint Gobain Weber is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and is the brand that cares about building better for people and the planet by offering solutions that deliver sustainability and performance to mortar customers.

As an Area sales manager you will play a key part of for delivering profitable growth across the range of Weber GB product ranges (primarily Renders, Tile Fixing and Flooring) through focusing on the development of contractor and distributor pull through business, alongside maintaining specifications, in line with Weber group and GB strategy.

What we are looking for is someone with;

  • A strong focus on the customer with the ability to be their first point of call, demonstrating strong Account Management skills.
  • Experience of working with CRMs, strong administration skills, reporting, forecasting as well as the ability to ensure up to date knowledge of your sales area and sector
  • The Area Sales Manager will be working alongside the Applications Manager and Specifications Manager who will work on the same patch so will need good communication, collaboration and internal skills
  • Responsive to opportunities for commercial gains, market trends, customer issues and problems, and are curious and supportive to implementing new ideas across a cross functioning team
  • Someone who communicates easily and clearly with the team and our customers
  • Organised, Self-starter, self-motivated and focused.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What will I be doing in the role?

This is an Area Sales Manager role where to be successful you will spend 4 days on the road and 1 day finalising your sales reports, Planning your schedules, CRM updates and administration duties. You will be spending your time equally with House builders, End users, Contractors and Distributors building the relationships, maximising commercial opportunities with our core customers, acting as an Account Manager and ensuring you are up to date with all project developments, as well as upcoming projects within your patch.

Identifies and secures sales opportunities with contractors and distributors, following leads and enquiries.  Utilises commercial and technical support where necessary and shares specifier contact information with relevant Specification Manager

Responsible for the delivery of annual revenue and profit margin targets within your area and cluster responsibility

Identifies and qualifies new potential customers and opportunities that will drive Weber sales, reinforcing the customer network for the area across the product portfolio and increasing market share.
