A truly exciting time to join us here at Saint-Gobain as we prepare to embark on our new Digital Transformation project. Saint-Gobain is a global leader in the construction industry with a presence in over 67 countries. As a Digital Enterprise Architect you will be responsible for the creation and ongoing management of the architectural design for all digital development of our consumer-facing (B2B, B2C & B2B2C) digital assets, including websites, eCommerce, mobile apps, CRM, IoT & specialist applications) to support new revenue generation through diversification.

This is a senior role working with both your own team and partners, you will create and maintain the architectural designs that underpin the delivery of all new digital concepts for products and services to meet SGBD’s strategic goals to deliver a world class customer experience and a digitally engaged workforce.

So if you…

  • Strong understanding of mobile app development and enterprise design patterns that support this
  • You should be able to evaluate digital technology solutions across the marketplace for particular technical and business needs - including licensing, cost, ROI, performance and strategic fit
  • Significant experience of defining and integrating enterprise-scale digital services in a multi-site national or international business – a strong understanding of micro-services architecture is essential
  • Working with our business and partners, this role will play a critical role in shaping an interim and end-state target digital architecture. Demonstrable experience of this ability as a core competence (and an ability to create highly abstracted designs) is essential to your success in this role
  • Your familiarity with standards such as PCI DSS & GDPR will be important in this role
  • Familiarity working with nearshore or off-shore resources in blended teams to address security & performance concerns and to shape and define planned work in detail is also a core competence
  • A deep understanding of service integration and an ability to rapidly translate and document requirements using techniques such as sequence diagrams and UML modelling will be expected
  • It is also essential you have worked as a technical architect or an enterprise architect and that you have the stamina, drive and energy to thrive in a demanding digital environment
