A truly exciting time to join us here at Saint-Gobain as we prepare to embark on our new Digital Transformation project. Saint-Gobain is a global leader in the construction industry with a presence in over 67 countries. As a Digital Solution Architect you will be responsible for the development of all consumer-facing (B2B, B2C & B2B2C) Digital assets, including websites, eCommerce, mobile apps, IoT & specialist applications) to support new revenue generation through diversification.

The successful candidate will deliver new Digital concepts for products and services that meet SGBD’s strategic goals in order to deliver a world class customer experience and a digitally engaged workforce, working with both your own team and partners.

So if you…

  • Have prior experience of working as a solution architect through the development lifecycle is essential
  • The successful candidate will have significant experience of defining and creating new solutions and delivering enterprise-grade digital services in a national or international multi-site (retail) business
  • You should have extensive experience and understanding of agile methods – you should also be able to demonstrate continuous improvement with evidence of regular high-quality deliverables
  • It is essential your experience includes working with external partners, suppliers and product owners
  • You should be familiar working with nearshore or off-shore resources in blended teams and be able to address security & performance concerns whilst shaping or defining planned work in detail
  • An understanding of frameworks such as SAFe Agile or a willingness to certify is desirable
  • A deep understanding of service integration and an ability to rapidly translate and document integration requirements using swim-lane or sequence diagrams and UML will be expected
  • You should have a track-record of integrating front end digital solutions into a range of ERP services (particularly eCommerce journeys and quote to cash) and experience of driving benefit realisation
  • We need our SAs to have a deep understanding of digital technology and eBusiness trends, including a strong understanding of integration patterns, micro services architecture and exposure to the latest Javascript frameworks, CSS, and use of optimisation tools will help us to identify the best candidates
