REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The role is famous for leading the British Gypsum Build Better Centre to deliver a valuable and differentiated experience for our construction industry partners. You will manage the Visitor Centre in central London to showcase British Gypsum products, services and solutions for the built environment.

There is some specific experience, skills and knowledge we are looking for from the suitable candidate   

  • Exceptional customer facing skills: able to engage with a range of people from all backgrounds
  • Has experience of event management: great organisational skills and ability to remain focused and flexible in a changing environment
  • People management experience: excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to deliver through others
  • Strong commercial acumen: budget management experience and able to connect the customer experience to commercial goals
  • Project management skills and experience

Additional Requirements

The Visitor Centre Manager will

  • Ensure the venue consistently delivers a great customer experience by creating an environment that showcases our British Gypsum brand values of know-how, pioneering and care
  • Be responsible for strategic development of the centre as a valuable resource to support our customers, and the business, in line with commercial goals. Ensuring products, systems and services featured in the centre are representative of Marketing plans
  • Manage the centre’s events programme in support of commercial plans. Including round table events, training and seminars, in person and online.
  • Owner of overall financial performance of the Visitor Centre: allocating and managing annual budgets, capex applications, overhead and appropriate A&P spend
