(Permanent, full time basis)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and knowledgeable British Gypsum Team as a Marketing Strategist in Loughborough on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will naturally take a business-wide perspective and has a passion and calling for innovation. Also has a track record of converting new product development into business as usual income streams staying ahead of the market.

As a Marketing Strategist:

You’ll be responsible for scoping project based objectives and agreeing these with the Head of Marketing Innovation and the Marketing Director as appropriate. You’ll then be responsible for leading those projects that will develop a cohesive and profitable future marketing strategy for BG. Ultimately these projects will contribute to increasing our market share, driving our value added business and delivering our desired brand positioning.

You will contribute to the 7-year Strategic Sales & Marketing plan in line with the overall business and Saint-Gobain strategies thereby maximizing the profit contribution to the business. Also demonstrates leadership to the wider BG business, taking every opportunity to share customer insight and how this translates to BG and SG vision and our strategic actions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A professional Marketing or Innovation qualification
• Desirable – degree in Business, Science or Product/Industrial design
• Technical and Marketing background in products
• Understands the Commercial Environment within a Construction Industry
• Understands New Product Development, Leading and understanding Portfolio Management Techniques
