What impact will you have in this role?
This role is working with British Gypsum where you will be responsible for working with colleges and sub-contractors for training delivery and routes to employment for students. You will also support delivery of a range of training for trades and professions members and resellers across the construction industry within the UK so as to build and maintain technical competence whilst promoting the British Gypsum brand. You will provide Consumer Strategy support with practical activity and a high knowledge and understanding in relation to Plasters, Interiors and building knowledge.
In the role as a Training and Technical Support Representative you will;
Develop a strategy in supporting Plasterers into employment, working with colleges and developing relationships with sub-contractors to build routes to employment for students within the Thistle College Partnership nationally.
Deliver a range of training interventions for individuals from the construction trade and professions enabling the building of capability and promotion of British Gypsum products across the market place.
Responds to internal or external requests to work at a customer site and assist in capability development and application so as to support the embedding of learning. Lead development in working with colleges nationally for the delivery of Plastering and Interior Systems Dry Lining qualifications.
Work with internal departments on new product development support also responding to sales enquiries to demonstrate new products to customers so as to build awareness and understanding of the new products and encourage customers to buy.
Identify and recommend improvements in the training agenda and ways of working across the academy, Colleges and sub-contractors so as to optimise team effectiveness, efficiency and students into employment.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have/be;
Significant experience in a trade background in plastering, dry lining fixer with possible Joinery related backgrounds.
Highly flexible and can adapt their diary to respond to customer needs.
Able to travel nationally with stopovers on a frequent basis (once every few weeks).
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Highly organised and able to self-manage workload.
