Then we have a fantastic new opportunity for a technically minded and security conscious individual such as yourself to join the SGTS UK&I team as our new Disaster Recovery and Deputy Security Manager. This role can be based either from our Huddersfield or East Leake locations.

Our SGTS team provide digital support and guidance across our UK & Ireland sites, servicing 13,000 users in over 900+ locations. It’s safe to say then that there’s never a dull moment, as you’ll play a vital role in managing people and maintaining security infrastructure at the excellent standards Saint-Gobain’s UK businesses have come to expect.

What impact will I have in this role?

As Disaster Recovery and Deputy Security Manager, you will co-ordinate the disaster recovery functions of SGTS UK&I, recording all plans, contracts and co-ordination of thorough testing and managing improvement plans. You’ll also assist and deputise for the Security Manager in the deployment and maintenance of an effective Information Security Management System for SGTS UK&I.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing and maintaining easily accessible ICT security policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring technology security infrastructure adequately meets the needs of the business and provides value for money.
  • Planning, organising and running disaster recovery testing events working in coordination with our businesses and other stakeholders.
  • Ownership of the SGTS disaster recovery plan, including annual testing.
  • Maintaining an awareness of the threat landscape and producing regular reports for presentation to update larger multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Proven management experience.
  • Experience within IT/Information Security.
  • Good understanding of relevant technologies (e.g. firewalls, application testing, auditing software etc.) and Service Management environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • The ability to handle pressure and remain calm in a dynamic and complex technical environment.
