What impact will you have in this role?

This role is working with HPS Tape Solutions, who through the support of four global research and development centres and advanced polymer technology expertise, create innovative solutions that enhance performance in the most extreme environments; aerospace, automotive, and construction – to name a few.

In the role as Environmental Health & Safety Manager you will be an active and visible presence in the organisation, building meaningful relationships which will allow you to;

  • Develop a culture in which the Health and Safety of our employees is paramount and constantly improving.
  • Create, maintain, and update appropriate systems and procedures.
  • Ensure that employees have sufficient information and training so they can carry out their duties safely, and comply with regulatory frameworks and Saint-Gobain policy.
  • Lead the Health & Safety, and Environment & Risk Prevention WCM functions
  • Take due account of environmental considerations and meet compliance and accreditation audit standards.

To be successful in the role of Environmental Health & Safety Manager you will demonstrate;

  • A genuine passion and interest in the field of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) with some relevant industry experience.
  • Qualified to NEBOSH certificate and/or Diploma level in Health & Safety and/or similar environmental qualification. 
  • Experience of, and ability to work in a team environment under your own initiative and with minimal supervision – at times to tight deadlines.  
  • Well-developed written, engagement, and relationship skills with the ability to influence. 
  • Experience and competencies in hazard Identification, and risk management. 
  • It is also highly desirable to have experience in Continuous Improvement Principles, Lean Manufacturing/WCM Principles, and Integrated Business Management Systems.
