How will you support us?

 

This role is working with Gibbs & Dandy Glass where you will be a Branch Manager who needs to show commitment, integrity and demonstrate a propensity for action in order to deliver branch site profit through the management of sales, safety, people and service.

 

In the role as a Branch Manager you will;

 

  • Be responsible for the branch sales function to direct both internal and external customer ‘facing’ teams. Utilise CRM as the engine to record and report sales opportunities and activities.

  • Work within the sector’s commercial performance control framework in order to drive best practice employee actions and behaviours in the handling and conversion of customer quotations, and to meet targets.

  • Ensure all branch activities are carried out in a safe manner and comply with Saint-Gobain and Glassolutions policies and standards - to create a robust level of EHS culture and behaviour within the branch.

  • Manage, develop / up-skill and grow / replace the branch team appropriately to create a flexible, skilled, customer-focused and productive workforce which can meet customer and business demands effectively.

  • Work within the sector’s operational performance control framework in order to drive employee actions and behaviours to deliver market leading quality and service to customers.

  • Manage the end-to-end operational functions (enquiry – order – factory – transport - invoice) and work with other Glassolutions branches to ensure optimum stock levels, accurate and cost-efficient processing and timely shipments to meet customer expectations.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have;

 

  • Experience of Glass handling/installing/producing and/or using Glass in the Construction industry is key for the success of this role.

  • Excellent communicate verbal and written information, numerically adept.

  • Ideally a EHS qualification is desirable but not essential (IOSH).

  • Experience of managing people.

  • Commercial management and direct experience of working with customers is essential.
