Technical Service Manager – International Decorative Surfaces (IDS)

We’re looking for an exceptional Technical Service Manager to join our IDS Commercial Team. Reporting in to the Commercial Director, you will ensure IDS nominated products are legally compliant; implement procedures and training to minimise the value of potential claims and support the business with technical services.

As a Technical Service Manager with IDS, you will:

• Batch testing of imported flooring products
• Co-ordinate technical / fitting knowledge training of nominated and exclusive products
• Develop and maintain Product Specification manuals
• Develop a claims prevention training program for all relevant products
• Carry out claim prevention training at each branch on a rolling basis
• Oversee claims and present findings to senior management as necessary
• Produce and implement a flooring induction training program for new starters
• Support Product Managers/ Directors in developing and delivering training presentations at each branch
• Develop correspondence that complies with SGBD legal compliance

• Hands on experience of testing and fitting wood and laminate flooring
• The ability to manage your workload and work on your own initiative
• Experience of communicating detailed information to senior management in a clear and concise manner
• Experience of building meaningful relationships with overseas suppliers
• Excellent communication skills in order to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Proven experience of resolving claims
