Accounts Payable Clerk – Saint-Gobain – East Leake

This is a fantastic opportunity to join as an Accounts Payable Clerk with Saint-Gobain where the focus will be to ensure compliance with closing calendar; anticipate month-end processes to ensure smooth and efficient closing. Also you will need to ensure accurate and on time processing of all tasks within the job role.


As an Accounts Payable Clerk with Saint-Gobain the key responsibilities are:

  • Invoice processing to a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assisting with the preparation of KPI data and any other ad-hoc duties.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Management of the allocated part of the ledgers, resolving, blocked, aged and debit items.
  • Identify issues on accounts and undertake their prompt resolution.
  • Ensure that all work conforms to current internal control procedures.
  • Dealing with general supplier account queries in a positive and timely manner.
  • Assisting with and supporting internal and external audit visits and requirements; including preparation of reports, schedules and procedures.

To be suitable for the Accounts Payable Clerk role with Saint-Gobain you need to have:

  • Previous Accounts or Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
  • Experience within a customer focussed environment where you have met customer needs and requirements to a high level.
  • IT literate (knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel & Word).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP (preferred).
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative.
  • Good degree of accuracy & numeric skills.
  • Results oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adherence and awareness of internal controls.
