Counter Sales / Customer Service / Branch Assistant

Part-Time 22hrs


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team here in Thirsk. We will provide you with all the training needed for this position, so what you lack in experience you need to make up for in enthusiasm, reliability and a can do attitude. Because it’s a small but busy branch it offers a good level of variety, as you will have a balanced mix, working on the sales counter, stacking shelves and occasionally working outside in the yard operating an FLT.

You’ll be working for Ceramic Tile Distributors (CTD) in Leeds (Gelded Rd). CTD is one of more than 30+ exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and specialises in sourcing and supplying a vast range of high quality tile designs to all sectors of the interior and architectural market. With over 50 years of experience, CTD is one of the leading names in the industry, striving to bring the latest advances in tile manufacturing to each individual collection as well as considering consumer demands, from the desirability of classic design styles to the latest cutting-edge trends.

You’ll also show resilience when things don’t go according to plan; being open to new ideas and happy to learn.

This is a varied role, a mix of driving / warehouse and counter sales, with roughly 50% of your time spent out delivering to our customers. Ideally you will have some previous van driving experience and be comfortable dealing with customers. Full product training will be provided for the successful candidate.

There are some specific skills and experience we are looking for from suitable candidates;

  • Previous Van driving / delivery experience (Transit)
  • Comfortable dealing face to face with customers
  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment
