Position description

We’re currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Sales Supervisor to join us in our Jewson branch in Redhill (RH1 1HG) branch!

This is an essential role within the branch network and an important support to the whole branch team. You’ll be the face (and voice!) of the business, often the first point of contact a customer has with us. You’ll chat with customers throughout the day, both on the phone and in branch, helping them find the materials they need for their projects and converting these in to orders.

We are open to considering anyone for this role, ideally sales experience is desired but training is provided where needed. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to thrive within our team in Jewson Redhill!

  • Experience working within a Builders Merchants would be extremely beneficial, but not necessary!
  • Experience of working in a sales role, with a curious and proactive approach
  • Passion for delivering great customer service and leading by example
  • A good level of IT literacy
  • The ability to organise and manage workload well

Hours of Work: 7:00am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday

What will I be doing?

As a Sales Supervisor, you’ll get the opportunity to build relationships, negotiate prices and generate sales each day, along with handling cash transactions, placing direct sales orders, organising delivery times and keeping customers informed once their orders are placed – all while giving the customer a fantastic service.

  • Get to know our products and services in order to maximise all customer interactions
  • Developing new customer accounts and lapsed accounts
  • Supporting branch management and the wider team
  • Build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers, managing feedback accordingly
  • Ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
  • Following plans to continuously improve customer experience
