This Customer Service Manager (Distribution) role is working in our Jewson Branch in Goddards Green. Jewson is the biggest employer in the UK Saint-Gobain business, with over 500 braches.

What will I be doing in this role?

The Customer Service Manager position is central to the performance of the whole branch network. It demands someone who can manage and lead a team of engaged colleagues to continually improve the customer experience for our Roofing customers in particular and branch performance. 

Key day to day duties include:

  • Ensuring all branch activity is centred around the customer and ensuring they have the best possible experience
  • Management and leadership of a team of colleagues
  • Ensuring the team check incoming products against Proof of Delivery and complete all required documentation
  • Realising full potential of all customer interactions and build effective relationships with customers and suppliers
  • To ensure the safe and efficient management of daily operations

What skills are we looking for?

  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationship with customers and suppliers
  • Strong leadership and people management skills – the ability to engage colleagues to help achieve the branch goals whilst ensuring all health and safety standards are upheld
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial understanding – the ability to understand Sales and Margin data
  • Experience of or a background in Roofing products - highly desirable.
  • The ability to evolve in a fast-paced and ever-changing busy work environment
  • A full driving licence
