At Saint-Gobain we pride ourselves on being innovative, customer focused, agile, open, engaging, and entrepreneurial. We are also proud to have been named a ‘Top Employer’ for 7 consecutive years. If you want to know what it’s like to work for a top employer that is working hard to make the world a better home; then please read on to find out more about this exciting opportunity to join us as a Production Manager with our Pasquill brand. Pasquill is the largest supplier of trussed rafters in the UK, with a nationwide network of design and manufacturing sites, supported by local knowledge and service. Our structural timber engineered floor and roof solutions have been developed to meet the latest construction industry demands for improved energy performance. Manufactured off-site, our panelised roof systems help to improve lead times, health & safety, and quality for customers across the UK, from national house builders to regional developers, to self-builders.
Is this role right for me?
We are looking for the right person to fit in with our Saint-Gobain culture, but we know this needs to be right for you too. So, if you think you match the following, then we would love to hear from you! We are looking for someone with proven experience of motivating, coaching, and leading teams with a hands on approach in a manufacturing environment. This role may be a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or Team Leader to take a step into your first Production manager position. You will be leading a team of up to 3 Supervisors and around 40 colleagues (working over 2 shifts) in the delivery of our production plans while personally overseeing and ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to processes.
You will be driving improvements across the site with the support of our site Operations Manager, applying lean principles, continuously improving processes and striving to ensure we have an engaged team working together to achieve site goals and objectives.
Our operation is one of fabricating timber roof systems, using cutting/saw machinery to cut timber to required lengths which are then assembled using jigs and fixing systems. Applicants from a fabrication background in wood or metals might just feel right at home here however all applicants with a manufacturing background are encouraged to apply.
Are Saint-Gobain an Inclusive employer?
We’re working hard to be, and we’re keen to hire talented people regardless of their background, abilities, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, taste in music, fashion sense or anything else that makes you, you!
We understand that a diverse workplace is not only a more enjoyable place to be, but also facilitates better decision making and innovation. So, whoever you are, and whichever Saint-Gobain business you join, you can be sure of a warm welcome with us.
And what about flexibility?
The world of work is changing, and at Saint-Gobain we are open to new ways of working in order to attract talented people to our business. We understand that everyone has different needs and commitments. Therefore, we are very open to discuss any flexible requirement or need that you may have for this role (this could be flexible hours, a job share, part time, to name a few). We can’t guarantee to meet all requests for flexibility when we are recruiting, but we promise to listen.
