How you will utilize your expertise:
This role is working with Saint-Gobain PAM who are based in Telford.  PAM is the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast iron products to the UK's key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies.  This site produces cast iron piping, fittings and valves that can be found in a large commercial properties including; multi-story commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, colleges and universities.

As Technical Sales Administrator you will work closely with the sales team to provide accurate and competitive quotes for variety of piping solutions including drain and rainwater.   You will achieve this by working from technical drawings and customer’s specifications.  This will lead to customer liaison, providing phone assistance with enquiries, pricing, stock availability and delivery lead-times. 

Other key duties will include:

• Provide market leading customer service to improve customer loyalty
• Provide product, technical and drainage advice to customers, consultants and contractors utilising our product ranges.
• Provide full technical support via phone and e-mail on all aspects of products and ancillary items.
• Liaising with internal departments for customer related issues. i.e. Samples of products and marketing information

What kind of person are we looking for?

• Sales Administration and/or Technical background
• Customer Service/Telecommunication experience
• Computer Literate – Excel, Word, Outlook – training for other software
• Excellent communication skills, by phone, in writing and face to face
• An understanding of the construction industry would be a distinct advantage
• CAD (Computer Aided Design) and digital solutions would be good to have but not essential
