You’ll be working for International Timber in Hull. International Timber is one of more than 30+ exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and, since 1970, has been the UK’s leading importer and distributor of bespoke, sustainable timber and panel products.  With over 50 years’ experience within the timber industry, this is an amazing place to start your career!

There are some specific skills & experience we are looking for from suitable candidates;

  • Excellent administration skills, especially accuracy with figures, accurate data input, efficient filing systems, etc.
  • General office duties – cash handling, petty cash, banking, time recording for staff, expenses, mail shots and Any other duties within your capability as deemed suitable by your line manager
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken, confident telephone manner
  • Must be able to work on own initiative, be self-motivating and able to work as part of a team
  • A concise and organised individual with good customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn and create new ways of working
  • Ideally car driver, but not essential. Reaching the offices on the Dock can be difficult without a car.

What will I be doing in the role?

Our Site Branch Administrator is one of our most important roles in the business. A great Site Branch Administrator will help keep our business running smoothly. To support the business you will;

  • Maintaining systems and paperwork
  • Maintain purchase order records – ordering, booking in goods and POD’s received
  • Maintaining and replenishing sufficient levels of stock to meet customer and branch demands
  • Authorising invoicing and resolving abeyances received within agreed timescales
  • Support the smooth running of the office
  • Support the scheduling of transport to ensure deliveries are met on time
  • Dealing with customer queries to ensure they are sorted quickly
  • Assist with the company stock takes when required
