PA / Secretary – Jewson – Northampton

We have an excellent opportunity for a professional and passionate Personal Assistant / Secretary. We are looking for someone who can co-ordinate and assist in the implementation and administration of the departmental activities, providing PA support to the Regional and Area Directors.

What will I be doing in the role?

  • Provide day-to-day PA/secretarial support to the Regional and Area Directors
  • Co-ordinate and assist in the control of Regional / Area activities
  • Prepare presentations and reports as required by the Regional and Area Directors
  • Distribute communications within the Region / Area
  • Answer, filter and action phone calls where possible and manage line managers diary (via Outlook),
  • Carry out administration duties such as opening / actioning and prioritising mail, filing etc.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, meetings and other functions as required, attending meetings / functions on an occasional basis
  • Provide occasional secretarial support, as required, to support the needs of the department
  • Co-ordinate the Regionaldiary to ensure all aspects are up to date and correct
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across the team and business
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required
  • Undertake duties in a manner compliant with the Company’s Core Values- Personalised, Trustworthy, Knowledgeable and Efficient, and codes of conduct

What do we look for in a PA / Secretary?

  • Experience of working within PA/secretarial environment is preferred
  • The ability to solve problems and get things done essential
  • Proven communication and organisation skills are essential
  • Experience of working with confidential information is essential
  • Proven experience in the co-ordination of corporate meetings and functions (Essential)
  • The ability to work on own initiative, as well as being a team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm at times
